Dorcas Sedgwick, born in 1705 and deceased around 1770, was the mother of Joshua Johnson. Joshua Johnson, a merchant born in 1742 and died in 1802, was the son of Dorcas Sedgwick. Johnson was the father of Louisa Adams, who married John Quincy Adams and served as First Lady of the United States from 1825 to 1829, during John Quincy Adams's presidency from 1825 to 1829.
