Introduction
King Anhui Zhu Ying, son of Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang, was born on October 18, 1383, in Ying Tian Prefecture (modern-day Nanjing). His mother was a certain beauty lady. He was born during the 16th year of Hongwu (1383) and was granted a noble title in the 24th year of Hongwu (1391), being titled King of An. In the same year, the daughter of Xu Da was ennobled as the Queen of An. In the 6th year of Yongle (1408), he relocated to Pingliang Prefecture. During his reign, Zhu Ying was known for his intelligence and studiousness, and he was not fond of entertainment. He passed away in the 15th year of Yongle (1417) at the age of 34, having no heirs, and his kingship was subsequently abolished. He was buried in Youfang Village on the northwest outskirts of Pingliang Prefecture city. His nephew, Prince Xiangling Zhu Chongbi, once petitioned for and was granted permission to manage the ancestral sacrifices for Zhu Ying, and continued to carry out sacrifices there until the 33rd year of Jiajing (1554). Queen Xu died in the 14th year of Zhengtong (1449).
