Joe Biden

Joe Biden, born on November 20, 1942, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, is the 46th President of the United States. Before becoming president, Biden served as the 47th Vice President under Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017. He began his political career in 1972 when, at age 29, he became one of the youngest people ever elected to the U.S. Senate. Tragically, shortly after his Senate win, Biden's first wife, Neilia, and infant daughter, Naomi, died in a car accident. Despite this devastating loss, Biden continued his political career while raising his two sons, Beau and Hunter.

Throughout his decades-long Senate career, Biden was known for his work on foreign policy, criminal justice, and his role in crafting the Violence Against Women Act. In 2020, Biden ran for president, defeating the incumbent, Donald Trump, in a highly contentious election.

As president, Biden has focused on tackling the COVID-19 pandemic, restoring the economy, infrastructure development, and addressing climate change.
