Introduction
Takatsukasa Hiroko, born on January 15, 1814, and deceased on September 28, 1892, was the daughter of Takatsukasa Masahiro, a Kugyō or Japanese court noble of the Edo period. She was the mother of Kuni Asahiko, a Japanese prince, who in turn was the father of Naruhiko Higashikuni, also a Japanese prince who lived from 1887 to 1990.
