Rebecca Selden, born between 1730 and 1735, was the mother of Amy Ely, who was born in Lyme, Connecticut in 1777 and died in Chicago, Illinois in 1876. Amy Ely, born in 1777, was the mother of Elizabeth Ely Gridley, who was born in 1826 in Clinton, New York and died in 1921. Elizabeth Ely Gridley was the mother of Amy Gridley Butler, born in 1848 and died in 1916. Amy Gridley Butler was the mother of Adele Augusta Ayer, who lived from 1867 to 1938. Adele Augusta Ayer was the mother of Dorothy Ayer Gardner Ford, mother of U.S. President Gerald Ford, who served from 1974 to 1977.
