Introduction
Princess Chang'an, named Zhu Shouying, was born in 1536 and died in 1549 at the age of fourteen. She was the eldest daughter of Emperor Jiajing (Ming Shizong), and her mother was Consort Cao. She was born on the Wuxu day of the eighth month of the fifteenth year of Jiajing (1536), and on September 15th of that year, she was granted the name "Shouying" by Emperor Jiajing. She passed away in July of the twenty-eighth year of Jiajing's reign (1549). She never married. In her honor, Emperor Jiajing suspended court for a day, issued orders for her funeral, and followed the funeral rites of Princess Shan.
