Richard M. Stokes

Richard M. Stokes was born on May 28, 1818, and died on July 20, 1898. Martha Anne Stokes was the mother of Mabel Marvin, who lived from 1869 to 1940. Mabel Marvin was the mother of Marvin Pierce, born in 1893 and deceased in 1969, who was the president of McCall Corporation and publisher of women's magazines Redbook and McCall's. Marvin Pierce was the father of Barbara Bush, who served as the First Lady of the United States from 1989 to 1993, and Barbara Bush was the mother of George W. Bush, the President of the United States from 2001 to 2009.
