Rong Zhiyuan

Rong Zhiyuan was the third daughter of Chinese entrepreneur and statesman Rong Yiren and his wife. She was known for her gentle and kind personality as well as her delicate beauty, and was one of the most beloved children in the Rong family.

Tragically, during her childhood, Rong Zhiyuan suffered from encephalitis and did not receive timely medical treatment, which left her with a lifelong intellectual disability. The incident brought great sorrow to the family and changed the course of her life.

In adulthood, she was later diagnosed with lung cancer and eventually passed away from the illness. Her death deeply grieved her father, Rong Yiren, who blamed himself for not being able to protect and care for her better.

Among the Rong family’s descendants, Rong Zhiyuan is remembered as the most tragic figure. Though her life was short, it reflected her family’s deep love and the enduring sadness left in her father’s heart.
