Introduction
Jiao Anpu (born May 30, 1981), known by the stage names Anpu and Zhang Xuan, is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter and social activist. The name "Zhang Xuan," by which she became widely known, was a pen name she adopted in middle school when she tried writing modern poetry and submitted pieces to newspaper supplements. After the 2015 Kaohsiung "潮水箴言" concert, she chose to retire the Zhang Xuan persona, take a temporary step back from the music scene, and continue creating under the single name Anpu.
Anpu’s lyrics are highly poetic, resonant, and often lead listeners into deep reflection; she frequently expresses care for and criticism of society in her work. Her distinctive observations and delicate wording earned her the Best Lyricist award at the 24th Golden Melody Awards for the song "玫瑰色的你" ("Rosy You"), written for social movement activists—her first-ever Golden Melody Award. Ten years later, in 2023, she won Song of the Year at the 34th Golden Melody Awards for "最好的时光" ("The Best Time").
