Rong Zhimei, born into the Rong family of China, is the granddaughter of Rong Desheng and niece of Rong Yiren. Her family has a certain influence in the industrial and commercial sectors. In 1954, Rong Zhimei settled in Germany, during which she dedicated herself to promoting trade exchanges and cooperation between China and Germany.

She previously served as a manager at Unilever Germany. Throughout her career, she gained the reputation of a "female strongwoman" in the German business community due to her business management abilities. She actively expanded corporate operations and facilitated cooperation between Chinese and German enterprises, achieving significant results especially in industries such as machinery manufacturing.

In promoting Sino-German trade, Rong Zhimei leveraged her extensive business network to build cooperation platforms, establishing connections between enterprises of both countries. Her efforts in this area are considered to have contributed to the development of China-Germany economic and trade relations.

In 1979, upon the establishment of the CITIC Group, Rong Zhimei presented a luxury van as a gift to Rong Yiren, customized by Mercedes-Benz in Germany. The vehicle bore the Chinese and English logos of CITIC Group, becoming one of the symbols of Sino-German economic and trade cooperation at the time.

Her professional career and contributions to Sino-German exchanges have made her a recognized figure in the business circles of both countries.
