Elizabeth Todd

Elizabeth Todd was born in 1732 and is the mother of Thomas Todd, a United States federal judge. She was the grandmother of Lucy Washington through her relationship with Thomas Todd. Lucy Washington, born to Mary Coles, was the wife of Thomas Todd and the niece of George Washington. Mary Coles, who lived from 1745 to an unspecified date, was the mother of both Lucy Washington and Dolley Madison. Dolley Madison, also a child of Mary Coles, was the wife of James Madison, the President of the United States from 1809 to 1817 and First Lady during that period.
