Introduction

Yonglu, Aisin Gioro, the 14th son of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, was born to Empress Xiaoyi Chun Wei Jiazhi. He was born on the 17th day of the 7th month in the 22nd year of Qianlong's reign (August 31, 1757). His full brother was Emperor Jiaqing. Yonglu lived until the age of four, dying on the 8th day of the 3rd month in the 25th year of Qianlong's reign (April 23, 1760), and he was not posthumously titled. His funeral followed the standards for the funeral of the Thirteenth Prince, born of Imperial Consort Hui of the Huila Nara clan. His status as a legitimated brother and the records both state him as a younger full brother, and his funeral and burial arrangements reflected this.

He was buried within the princely estate of his eldest brother, Crown Prince Duanhui. The estate contained three underground palaces; the central one was that of Crown Prince Duanhui. On the east side was a stone-tiled tomb shared by three persons, with the central being Prince Daomin, and on either side, the ninth and tenth sons of the Emperor. The western tomb was the smallest in scale, with three persons buried in brick-lined tombs. The central one was the Thirteenth Prince, with Yonglu and another full brother of Emperor Jiaqing, the sixteenth son, buried on either side.

These records are found in "The Four Genealogies of the Qing Imperial Family."
