Harriet Mercer

Harriet Mercer, who died in 1869, was the mother of David Davis Walker, an American businessman. Her lineage includes her son, George Herbert Walker, an American financier who lived from 1875 to 1953. Walker's descendants include Dorothy Walker Bush, an American politician, who is the daughter of George Herbert Walker. Dorothy Walker Bush is the mother of George H. W. Bush, who served as President of the United States from 1989 to 1993. George H. W. Bush's son, George W. Bush, also served as President of the United States from 2001 to 2009.
