Introduction

Daniel Maurice Alan Macmillan, Viscount Macmillan of Ovenden, was born on 9 October 1974. He is a British fashion designer and the only son of Alexander Macmillan, 2nd Earl of Stockton. As the heir apparent to the earldom, he uses his father's secondary title, Viscount Macmillan of Ovenden, as a courtesy title. He is a great-grandson of Harold Macmillan, the 1st Earl of Stockton, who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Macmillan grew up at Birch Grove, the former family residence located in Sussex. His education includes studies at Eton College, a British independent boarding school, and the Parsons School of Design in New York City.

In 2003, Macmillan established the Zoltar fashion label, serving as its founder. Barnzley Armitage was appointed as the creative director for this venture. Prior to founding Zoltar, Macmillan operated his own fashion label named 'Macvillain'. Besides his pursuits in fashion design, he has also worked as a model, actor, and photographer.

Throughout his career, Macmillan has been publicly associated with dating models Kate Moss and Jade Jagger. Despite his involvement in the fashion industry, he has indicated that he does not intend to pursue involvement in the family publishing business. The publishing operations were sold by his father to the German publisher Holtzbrinck in the 1990s.

He is considered the heir to a fortune valued at approximately £200 million.
