Kazuo Matsuzaki (August 11, 1901 – April 14, 2000) was a Japanese businessman. Details about his place of birth and family composition have not been publicly disclosed. He served as an executive and director at Morinaga & Co., and also as the chairman of Rikkyo Gakuin, a school corporation.
According to records regarding his career and education, Kazuo Matsuzaki was born in 1901 as the eldest son of Han Saburō Matsuzaki. He attended Rikkyo University and participated in the basketball club during his second year of preparatory school. At that time, the team's coach was the younger brother of Naoji Shiga, who had returned to Japan from the United States. He graduated from Rikkyo University's Faculty of Commerce (equivalent to the current Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Management) in 1926.
Regarding his employment history, he joined Morinaga & Co. in 1927. He was appointed director in 1942, then became a managing director in 1943, senior managing director in 1952, and vice president in 1966. He also served as the representative director and president of Morinaga Shōji and was a director of Morinaga Nyūgyō. In 1985, he retired from Morinaga & Co. as an advisor.
In his involvement with Rikkyo University, he became the chairman of the alumni association in 1959, actively contributing to its development by calling for donations from about 50,000 alumni to fund the construction of the alumni hall. From August 1971 to October 1979, he served as the chairman of Rikkyo Gakuin.
Details of his private life and children are also not publicly available; however, it is known that he had a son named Akio Matsuzaki.
He passed away on April 14, 2000, due to pneumonia at the age of 98.
