Zhang Yan

Zhang Yan, female, graduated from the University of London and the London School of Economics and Political Science, earning a master's degree in Public Financial Policy. Her career has primarily focused on the financial industry, having worked at the Bank of China, where she held several key positions, including head of the Global Financial Markets Department at the head office, Assistant General Manager, Director, as well as General Manager of the Financial Markets Headquarters and the Investment Banking and Asset Management Department.

During her tenure at the Bank of China, Zhang Yan served as General Manager of the Financial Markets Headquarters from July 2009 to December 2012, and during this period, she was also a director of the Second Board of the Chen Jiageng Science Award Foundation. Subsequently, she continued as General Manager of the Investment Banking and Asset Management Department of the Bank of China, from December 2012 to December 2016, serving as a director of the Third Board of the Chen Jiageng Science Award Foundation. From December 2016 to March 2022, she also served as a director of the Fourth Board of the Foundation.

In terms of corporate management, Zhang Yan has served as Chairman of China Beautiful Fund Management Co., Ltd. On January 14, 2019, China Beautiful Fund Management Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Beijing Shanyuan Public Welfare Foundation. Additionally, on November 5, 2021, she served as Acting General Manager in the capacity of Chairman.

Zhang Yan has also participated in numerous industry activities and research. For example, on July 31, 2023, she visited He Changshun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Anhui Provincial Investment Group Holdings Co., Ltd. Regarding her position changes, on June 17, 2025, China Beautiful Fund Management Co., Ltd. announced that due to work adjustments, Zhang Yan stepped down from her role as Chairwoman, with no further disclosure about her new position.
