Introduction
This individual was born in 1937. He first arrived in Yan'an that year, where he received education at the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University and joined the Communist Party of China. The following year, he returned to his hometown and in October 1938 established the CPC Pengjiaweizi Special Branch, serving as its secretary. During the Anti-Japanese War, he actively participated in grassroots organization work, led local peasants in responding to natural disasters, and collaborated with other Party members to promote resistance efforts.
In 1939, severe natural disasters caused a major famine. During this period, he led the community in taking measures such as handling grain embezzled by local bullies, prohibiting smugglers and landlords from illegally transporting grain, and implementing price stabilization measures to alleviate hardships caused by the famine. These activities demonstrated his leadership role within the grassroots organization.
In October 1940, the Kuomintang government launched an anti-communist crackdown, and reactionary military and police forces surrounded his residence. He was arrested and imprisoned. While in prison, he endured physical torture, including having ten fingers pierced with steel pins and several finger bones fractured. Despite these hardships, he remained steadfast and refused to surrender. Soon after, on a night in November 1940, he was secretly murdered along with other Communist Party members—Guo Xi, Zeng Chunxi, Liu Jirui, He Qingyu, Peng Zhongshan, and others—in Yijiawan Fengxing Mountain Longgupo. These events reflect his revolutionary journey during the Anti-Japanese War and the sacrifices made for the Party's cause.
