Isaac Smith, Sr.

Isaac Smith, Sr. was an American colonial merchant born in 1719 and died in 1787. He was the son of William Smith, who lived from 1667 to 1730, and the grandson of William Smith. William Smith was also the father of Abigail Adams, making Isaac Smith, Sr. the uncle of Abigail Adams. Abigail Adams was the wife of John Quincy Adams, the President of the United States from 1825 to 1829, and served as First Lady of the United States from 1797 to 1801.
