Introduction
Prince Mu of the Gentry, Aisin Gioro clan, a member of the Qing imperial family, was the eldest son of Emperor Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty. He was born on the 29th day of the twelfth lunar month in the 44th year of Qianlong's reign, approximately late 1779 to early 1780 in the Gregorian calendar; his mother was Liu Jiashi, a concubine, and his father was still a prince at the time of his birth. The child was not given a personal name and died early, on the sixth day of the fifth lunar month in the 45th year of Qianlong's reign, at the age of two nominal years but only four months actual age. After his death, he was recorded in the imperial genealogy under the title Prince of the Mu Gentry.
In the 20th year of Daoguang (1820), the newly enthroned Daoguang Emperor posthumously promoted his deceased elder brother to the rank of Dorone Prince, with the posthumous title "Mu," but he was not given a personal name. This record is found in the "Four Genealogies of the Qing Imperial Family," reflecting the Qing imperial family's practices in the continuation and arrangement of posthumous titles and noble ranks.
In films and television:
- "The King of Ten Thousand Phoenixes": Pendie portrays Prince Mu (Aisin Gioro Mianyi).
- "Cheung Po Tai": Ruan Zhengfeng portrays Aisin Gioro Minxiao (the Crown Prince).
