Anne Eliza Foster Buchanan is the wife of Edward Young Buchanan, a clergyman and brother of James Buchanan, the 15th president of the United States who served from 1857 to 1861. She is the sister of Stephen Foster and sister-in-law of James Buchanan, Sr., the father of James Buchanan. James Buchanan, Sr. lived from 1761 to 1821 and was the grandfather of Edward Young Buchanan.
