Wang Liqiao

Wang Liqiao, born in 1969, originally named Wang Fuxin, is a woman from Hong Kong, China. Her father was a textile merchant who ended his business early and retired from active commerce. In 1990, Wang Liqiao studied for a business administration degree at the University of British Columbia in Canada, during which she met Richard Li.

In 1993, Wang Fuxin married Richard Li in a wedding held in Hong Kong. At that time, Richard Li was serving as Deputy Chairman and General Manager of Cheung Kong Holdings. The wedding was reported to be luxurious and grand, featuring a feast with a variety of high-priced seafood. After marriage, the couple had three daughters and one son.

Regarding their marriage, Richard Li met Wang Fuxin during a barbecue gathering while handling real estate business in Canada. He later took the initiative to pursue her, and they officially married in 1993. Throughout their marriage, Wang Fuxin maintained a low-profile and virtuous image in the public eye. She gave birth to three daughters consecutively in 1996, 2000, and 2004, and in 2006, she welcomed a son into the family.

Professionally, Wang Fuxin joined Bank of America as an assistant manager in 1991. In terms of family life, she showed strong interest in cultural activities such as music and participated in numerous social and charitable events with her husband. Her family background, in terms of wealth and social status, was quite different from that of the Li family, so she maintained a low-key lifestyle.

In 2005, Wang Fuxin officially changed her name to "Wang Liqiao," reportedly to incorporate the Five Elements theory to enhance family happiness and progeny fortune. After the name change, she gave birth to their fourth child, a son.

In family roles, Wang Liqiao plays the part of a virtuous wife, focusing on family harmony and the education of her children. Her husband, Richard Li, is the eldest son of Li Ka-shing and holds an important position within the family and business circles. The members of her family maintain stable relations, and they lead a low-profile life, avoiding excessive public attention.
