George Robertson, born in 1762, was the son of Andrew Robertson, who died in 1796, and the father of Anne MacKenzie Robertson. Anne MacKenzie Robertson was the mother of William Ewart Gladstone, who served as a British Liberal prime minister and lived from 1809 to 1898.
