Jia Qiang is the daughter of Jia Qinglin, former member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). She is married to Li Botan, Chairman of Beijing Zhaode Real Estate, a businessman with significant influence in China’s property and investment sectors. Their daughter, Jasmine Li (Li Zidan, born in 1992), studied at Stanford University in the United States and came into the public eye in 2009 when she attended the prestigious Paris Debutante Ball. In 2016, Jasmine Li’s name appeared in the Panama Papers leak, drawing international attention to her offshore financial dealings. Because of Jia Qiang’s political background and her family’s business ties, her household has often been viewed as a case study in the intersection of political power and wealth among China’s elite families.
