Introduction

Zhang Danlu, born in 1989, is a Chinese actress and Peking Opera performer. Her early learning experience began at age 8, when she started studying Peking Opera, focusing mainly on the Mei school. In 1997, she was admitted to the Central Academy of Drama, majoring in huadan (female dan roles). During her time at school, she made her first performance at Chang'an Grand Theatre in "The Legend of the White Snake."

In 2000, Zhang Danlu officially entered the entertainment industry with a guest appearance in the sitcom "Xianren Ma Dajie." The following year, she played the lively and innocent girl Niu Xiaoling in the sitcom "Northeast Family," and sang the theme song "Northeastern People Are All Lei Feng." In 2003, she starred in the costume martial arts drama "Supreme Red Beauty," portraying Shangguan Wan'er, the first female official of the Tang Dynasty.

In 2004, Zhang Danlu released her first Peking Opera album "The Red Lantern," marking her official debut in the music industry. That same year, she appeared in the mythological comedy segment "Happy Ba Jie" as the daring girl Wang Xiaodie. She also participated in costume fantasy romance dramas such as "Divine Doctor and Hero" as Liu Shan and "Imperial Concubine's Secrets" as Bai Ruyan. In television dramas, she also appeared in works like "Snowland Maze" (playing Cui Xin), "Single Mother," and "Dreams Come True."

In her personal life, in 2005, Zhang Danlu publicly announced her relationship with actor Zhao Wenzhuo. The couple married in 2006 and have a daughter, Zhao Ziyi (born September 24, 2007, in the United States), and a son (born July 15, 2011, in Hong Kong). In 2016, she announced her pregnancy with a third child and gave birth to a daughter in September the same year.

As of August 2021, Zhang Danlu and Zhao Wenzhuo participated together in the reality show "Sisters Who Make Waves." Besides her acting career, she actively engages in social welfare activities, including donating to impoverished students in Wuxi County in 2010 and contributing to flood relief efforts in Henan in 2021.

Zhang Danlu is renowned for her versatile roles in film and television, as well as her performances on the Peking Opera stage, particularly excelling in comedy and costume dramas. Her distinctive acting style has attracted widespread attention and acclaim.
