John Washington

John Washington (1692–1746) was the son of Mildred Gale and the grandfather of George Washington, the first President of the United States, who served from 1789 to 1797. Augustine Washington, the father of George Washington, was the son of Mildred Gale, making John Washington the grandfather of George Washington through Augustine Washington. Augustine Washington was a British-American planter and slave owner, and he was born in 1694 and died in 1743.
