Walter Grimston

Walter Edward Grimston was born on 16 May 1844 and died on 28 July 1932. He was an English amateur cricketer who participated primarily in matches organized by the club I Zingari. His active years with I Zingari spanned from 1864 to 1879.

Grimston made a single appearance in first-class cricket in 1868, playing for Southgate against Cambridge University. During his cricketing activity, he was known as a right-handed batsman and also performed occasionally as a wicketkeeper.

Family background includes a father named Edward Grimston, who played first-class cricket. Additionally, three of his uncles—James Grimston, Robert Grimston, and Francis Grimston—also played first-class cricket. His cousin was Lord Hyde.
