Introduction
Zai Jin, of the Aisin Gioro clan, was the fifth son of Prince Dunqin Yiyu, with his mother being the concubine Wang Jiasi, and his father being Wang Quanxiang. He was born on April 13, 1859. Zai Jin belonged to the first generation of the Prince Dunqin Zai Jin branch.
In terms of military rank and noble titles, Zai Jin was awarded the title of Second-Class Zhenguo General in April 1889, according to the records of the 15th year of Emperor Guangxu's reign. The following year, in the first month, he was further promoted to the rank of Buru Bafen Support King. His official duties and titles were based on the late Qing aristocratic system, making him a member of a noble family estate.
Zai Jin passed away in 1896 at the age of 38. Among his biological children, Pu Bei, Pu Zhi, and Pu Chu all died young, which resulted in a succession gap. To continue the bloodline and noble title of the Zai Jin branch, his adopted son Pu Xiu inherited the titles and became the second generation of the Prince Dunqin Zai Jin lineage.
