Elizabeth Gaines

Elizabeth Gaines, estimated to have been born around 1735 and uncertainly deceased in 1791, was the daughter of Francis Strother, who lived from 1695 to 1752. She was a descendant of William Strother, born on April 30, 1726, and who died on November 25, 1808, and Sarah Dabney Strother, the daughter of William Strother. Sarah Dabney Strother was the mother of Zachary Taylor, who served as the president of the United States from 1849 to 1850.
