Jerome Place Marvin, who lived from 1846 to 1917, was the father of Mabel Marvin, who lived from 1869 to 1940. Mabel Marvin was the mother of Marvin Pierce, who served as President of McCall Corporation and publisher of the women's magazines Redbook and McCall's, and who lived from 1893 to 1969. Marvin Pierce was the father of Barbara Bush, the First Lady of the United States from 1989 to 1993. George W. Bush, the President of the United States from 2001 to 2009, is the son of Barbara Bush.
