Introduction
Gurun Princess Rong'an was born on 20 June 1855 during the reign of the Xianfeng Emperor of the Qing Dynasty. She was the only daughter of the Xianfeng Emperor and his Consort Li. Her birth took place in the fourth year of the Xianfeng Emperor's reign.
In August 1873, she entered into marriage with Fuzhen of the Gūwalgiya clan. The marriage was arranged by Empress Dowager Cixi in accordance with Manchu imperial customs.
At the time she was pregnant, she received news of the death of her half-brother, the Tongzhi Emperor. The emotional impact of this event contributed to her suffering a miscarriage. Subsequently, she died on 5 February 1875, at the age of 19. She left no children.
There are no additional details regarding her education, personal life beyond her marriage and familial relationships, or her activities during her lifetime. Her death occurred approximately a year and a half after her marriage.
