Introduction
Yunyi (Chinese: 允禕; Manchu: ᠶᡡᠨ ᡳ) was born on September 1, 1706, and died on June 30, 1755. He was a prince of the Qing dynasty and the 20th son of the Kangxi Emperor.
Yunyi was born to Gao Zaiyi (高在儀), who was a lower-ranking concubine, designated as a Mistress (咯咯) at the time of his birth. His birth occurred in September 1706. He had two older full-brothers with the same mother; however, both did not survive past the age of two. Yunyi's early life included frequent accompaniment of his father, the Kangxi Emperor, on frontier visits and hunting excursions.
In his titles, Yunyi was initially designated as Prince of the Fourth Rank (固山貝子) in 1726. His status was elevated in 1730 to Prince of the Third Rank (多羅貝勒). During the reign of Yongzheng Emperor, in 1734, Yunyi was involved in rituals at the mausoleum; he was sent twice to offer sacrifices but purportedly pretended to be ill during these occasions. Consequently, he was demoted to Duke of the Second Rank (辅国公).
Yunyi's primary consort was known as Imperial Princess Consort Jianjing, of the Oirat Borjigin clan (簡靖貝勒 嫡夫人鄂勒特氏). She was the daughter of Abao, who held the title of Prince Alashan of the Second Rank (阿拉善郡王阿宝).
The records do not specify additional details regarding his siblings, other family members, or further aspects of his career and life beyond the titles and familial relations already mentioned.
