Introduction

Wang Minyi was born in Huizhou, Guangdong; her exact year of birth has not been disclosed. She moved to Hong Kong with her mother at the age of one. Her education includes C.C.C. Kei Wan Primary School and Rosaryhill School. She began working as a teenage model at 14.

In 2006 Wang Minyi officially entered the entertainment industry, making her first television appearance in the drama Transitional Youth (过渡青春). Two years later she appeared in the film Under the Scorching Sun (烈日当空), written and directed by Mak Hei-yan, and gradually shifted toward film. In 2010 she starred in the film Nan Nan (囡囡), directed by Bi Guozhi, playing a character named Gucci; the film was released in Hong Kong. The following year she was the female lead in the Singapore-invested film Camera. In 2012 she appeared in Mak Hei-yan’s film After the Glamour (华丽之后), portraying Gennie.

In 2013 Wang played He Miaomiao in the film Super Manager (超级经理人), directed by Feng Zhiqiang. That July she took part in the filming of TVB’s drama Women’s Club (女人俱乐部), produced by Chen Weiguan and Zeng Zhiwei, playing the young Julie; the drama premiered in April 2014. On September 15, 2017, the romantic film First Love Diary (初恋日记), in which she starred as Zha Ziqi, was released. That same year she appeared with Bosco Wong and Ron Ng in the TVB series Flying Tiger: Silent Assault (飞虎之潜行极战), playing Dai Yifei. On August 5, 2019, she appeared in the drama Ideal Country (理想国).

From 2021 to 2023 Wang Minyi remained active in multiple film and television projects. On June 15, 2021, the suspense psychological drama Detective Diary (刑侦日记), in which she starred, was released on Youku. That year she also appeared in the drama The Gatekeepers (把关者们) as Wen Zhiqí. In 2022 she appeared in Forensic Heroes V (法证先锋Ⅴ). In 2023 she joined the cast of Family Glory 2 (家族荣耀2), which began filming in July; on September 6 her drama The Bystander (旁观者) premiered on Youku. She then appeared in News Queen (新闻女王), which aired on November 17.

In 2024 Wang Minyi continued to be active in the industry. On February 26 the TVB urban romance drama Married Life (婚后事) aired, and on May 13 Family Glory: The Heirs (家族荣耀之继承者) was released. Forensic Heroes VI (法证先锋6) premiered on August 7. On January 11, 2025, the film Beyond Evil (恶行之外), featuring her, was released. On April 28 Virtual Lover (虚拟情人) aired, and on May 29 the film Deadly Doll (致命玩偶), in which she starred, was released.

In her personal life, Wang Minyi announced her marriage to Zeng Guoxiang on social media on September 6, 2019; the couple held their wedding in Japan.

Wang Minyi has received multiple nominations and honors in film and television, including a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the 2024 TVB Anniversary Awards and a Best Dressed Female Artist award in 2025. She is known for her sweet appearance and diverse acting roles, and has been noted for strong physical ability in action scenes.
