Mildred Thornton was the second wife of Samuel Washington, a colonial American officer and politician, and daughter-in-law of Augustine Washington, a British-American planter and slave owner. She was born around 1741 and died around 1762. Samuel Washington was the brother of George Washington, the first President of the United States, and the son of Augustine Washington.
