Emi Miyake

Megumi Miyake (三宅惠美) was born in Setagaya Ward and graduated from 立弦卷 Middle School. In junior high she was a member of the volleyball club. Early in her entertainment career she was part of the idol group Pino with 長野和惠 and 小谷美莎子, and also formed the idol unit Ami with 吉田美花叶 (who was then an artist under Hori Agency). During that period she appeared in numerous television programs and commercials.

In 2003, Miyake married actor-musician Issei Ishida (石田壹成). Later that year, on December 19, she gave birth to her eldest son—who shares Miyake’s birthday. Miyake and Ishida divorced on January 30, 2006.

On March 14, 2007, Miyake remarried actor Shosuke Tanihara (谷原章介). The couple welcomed a first daughter in October of that year. They had a second daughter in April 2009, a son in October 2010, and another son in February 2012. In January 2015 Miyake announced she was pregnant, and in April she gave birth to her sixth child, a daughter.

Professionally, Miyake has appeared in many television dramas, including the Fuji TV drama "救命病栋24小时2" which premiered on July 3, 2001, in which she played the character 见城一惠. She also took part in Fuji TV series such as the "Apple" series and appeared on other programs. Additionally, she was a member of the “里轮girl” on Fuji TV’s "Apple" series. In advertising, she appeared in a commercial for Morinaga Milk Industry’s Eskimo Pino product alongside 長野和惠 and 小谷美莎子.
