Hong Lixi, born in the 1980s, was previously a professional tennis player. He began practicing tennis at a young age, showing interest and talent in the sport by the age of four. That year, he defeated Beijing player Gao Peng with a score of 6-1, 6-2 in the men's singles final at the Fifth City Games, winning the championship. In the same year, he represented Hong Kong at the Games and secured the men's singles gold medal, becoming the first Hong Kong athlete to achieve this honor in the event.
