Richard Neville Manners (1924–2009) was the son of Mary Gascoyne-Cecil (1900–1994), who was the daughter of Lord William Cecil (1863–1936). Lord William Cecil was the son of Robert Gascoyne-Cecil, the 3rd Marquess of Salisbury, a British politician and prime minister who lived from 1830 to 1903.
