Lois Collins

Lois Collins was born on May 19, 1761, and died in 1800. She was the mother of Ela Collins, an American lawyer and politician who lived from 1786 to 1848. Harriet Anne Collins, born in 1833 and died in 1902, was the daughter of Ela Collins and the mother of Helen Herron Taft. Helen Herron Taft, who served as First Lady of the United States from 1909 to 1913, was the daughter of Harriet Anne Collins and wife of William Howard Taft, the President of the United States during the same period.
