Introduction
Tadamasa Ikeda (born April 22, 1895 – January 18, 1920) was a member of the Japanese aristocracy (Marquis). He was the 14th head of the Ikeda family of Okayama Domain. His father was Sadamasa Ikeda, and his mother was Princess Anki, the third daughter of Prince Chichibu Kuni no Miya Asahiko.
Life
---
Tadamasa Ikeda was born in Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture, in 1895 (Meiji 28). His father, Sadamasa Ikeda, held the title of Marquis under Japan’s peerage system. Tadamasa inherited the Marquis title in 1909 (Meiji 42) upon his father's death.
Family
---
His siblings include Nobumasa Ikeda, who became the 15th head of the family. Additionally, Masaki Ikeda became an adopted son into the former Kamogata Domain Ikeda family (viscount family).
Death
---
He died at the age of 24 due to the influenza pandemic (Spanish flu) in 1920 (Taisho 9). At the time, he was unmarried and had no children, so the headship of the family was succeeded by his younger brother, Masatsugu (who later changed his name to Nobumasa).
