Introduction

Linyu, born in 1990, is from Taiwan Province and comes from a family of entertainers. His father is the well-known Taiwanese actor and businessman Lin Ruiyang, and his mother is actress Zeng Zhezheng. During his upbringing, his family experienced divorce in 1998, after which he lived with his mother. In 2010, his father remarried, and his stepmother is actress Zhang Ting.

After completing his university studies in Russian at the Cultural University, he further studied in the acting department at the Beijing Film Academy. That same year, he starred in the costume fantasy film "The Great Monkey: Taming the Demons," playing the young lord Dongfang Mo and performing the theme song "Steel and Stone." He also starred in its sequels, "The Great Monkey 2: Subduing Demons" and "The Great Monkey 3: Love's Tribulation," taking on leading roles and singing the theme songs, showcasing his versatility. Besides films, he played a main role in the historical fantasy romance drama "The Great Monkey," co-starring with Xie Miao and Nan Sheng, and performed the show's theme song of the same name. Additionally, he appeared in the Taiwanese rural drama "Tales of Taiwan" and participated in the 2021 TV series "Fire at Dawn."

Linyu has also appeared in various variety shows, including the art and education program "Under the Banner" which first aired in January 2019, and the cooking show "Gourmet Kitchen," which started in July 2020, where he served as host. His notable works also include the TV drama "Love is Science," in which he played the character Dài Ōuwén.

In music, Linyu has released several singles, including theme songs for movies and online dramas such as "Dawn," "Love’s Tribulation," "Steel and Stone," "Only Wish," and "The Great Monkey," demonstrating his singing and adaptation abilities.

Regarding his family life, Linyu was influenced by his family from a young age—his father Lin Ruiyang and mother Zeng Zhezheng are both from the entertainment industry. In 2022, media reports linked him closely with Gao Junya.
