Lin Xiaolin is the daughter of Lin Biao and Zhang Mei. She was born in 1941 in Moscow, Soviet Union. She lived with her mother from a young age. After her parents separated, she lived in the Soviet Union for an extended period. In 1950, she returned to China and had a brief stay with her stepmother Ye Qun and her father Lin Biao.
