Margaret Thornton

Margaret Thornton, born in 1678 and deceased in 1727, is identified as the mother of Sarah Dabney Strother, who was the mother of Zachary Taylor. Zachary Taylor served as the President of the United States from 1849 to 1850. William Strother, born on April 30, 1726, and who died sometime after November 25, 1808, is a descendant of Margaret Thornton, being the son of Francis Strother, who lived from 1695 to 1752, and the grandson of Margaret Thornton.
