Introduction
Quan Jinpeng, born on July 21, 2004, is originally from Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. In his family, besides himself, there are two sisters, Quan Hongchan and Quan Hongtao, both of whom are diving athletes. Quan Hongchan is an internationally renowned Olympic champion and sports star. Influenced by his older sister, Quan Jinpeng began to engage in diving from a young age.
In September 2020, Quan Jinpeng enrolled in Zhanjiang Sports School, under the tutelage of beginner coach Guo Yi. During his time at school, he began to systematically learn diving techniques. Although his training period was relatively short, his performance already showed certain potential. According to his coach, despite his young age, he demonstrated a diligent attitude during training and showed high natural talent. It is said that his training progress is significant, and his potential is promising.
In his professional career, Quan Jinpeng represented Zhanjiang Team in 2022 at the 16th Guangdong Provincial Games in the competitive sports diving category, helping his team win a bronze medal in the men's team event with a score of 2391.2 points. In 2023, he continued to participate in various youth diving competitions. Notably, at the Guangdong Youth Diving Championships, he teamed up with Liao Junyan in the men's Group C synchronized 3-meter springboard event, finishing in 4th place with a score of 206.91; he also placed 4th in the men's Group C synchronized platform event, scoring 222.27 points. That same year, he led the Zhanjiang team to second place (silver) in the men's Group C team competition, with a total team score of 3009.81 points.
On July 21, 2024, at the Guangdong Youth Diving Championships, he participated in the mixed-gender group B 3-meter springboard event, finishing in 6th place. Quan Jinpeng's competition results demonstrate his competitiveness among youth and have helped him gain valuable experience for future competitions.
In terms of social evaluation, coaches and industry insiders generally believe that although he is still young, he possesses strong potential and a dedicated training spirit. Based on his performances in the Guangdong Youth Diving Championships and the Provincial Games, he has gradually showcased his emerging strength in diving. With more competition experience, he is expected to achieve better results in the future.
