Introduction
Xiangding Emperor Zhu Qiyong (1429–1488), the second Xiang King of the Ming Dynasty, was the eldest son of the Xian King Zhu Zantan. In the 15th year of the Chenghua reign (1479), he inherited the title of Xiang King, and his consort was Lady Li. Due to his wife's illness, he once requested to take a concubine, Lady Yu, who was granted to him and bore a son. Zhu Qiyong reigned for nine years and passed away in the first year of the Hongzhi reign (1488), with the posthumous title of Ding. His wife, Lady Liu, bore his second son Zhu Jianshang, who was bestowed the title of Yangshan Wang (King of Yangshan), and his third son Zhu Jianli, who was titled Zhenning Wang (King of Zhenning). Zhu Qiyong's tomb is located in Nanxiang County, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province. After Zhu Jianshu's death without heirs, Zhu Jianli's descendants inherited the title of Xiang King.
