Introduction
Prince Yijian Zhu Yongque (1413–1462), the second prince of the Ming Dynasty YI Prince, was the eldest son of King Li Zhu Peng. He ascended to the title of YI Prince in the twenty-second year of Yongle (1424). During his lifetime, he tolerated eunuchs of the prince's household to interfere with common people, resulting in dissatisfaction among the citizens of Luoyang. The prefect of Henan Province, Li Ji, tried to restrain his conduct through laws and regulations, but was falsely accused and harmed by Zhu Yongque. Later, the incident was clarified, and the imperial court ordered punishment for those around him. During the reign of Emperor Yingzong of Ming, Zhu Yongque submitted memorials to the court, many of which contained disrespectful language, and he was repeatedly reprimanded. He reigned for a total of 38 years and died in the sixth year of Tianshun (1462). His son, Zhu Mianzheng, predeceased him, and his grandson Zhu Liangfan succeeded to the title. Another son was Guangyang Rongjing Wang Zhu Mianqi, born of Lady Zhang. The "Ming Shi" (History of Ming) records his deeds.
