Song Min-guo

Song Min-guk, born in South Korea, is the second son of famous Korean actor Song Yi-kook and Busan local judge Jeong Seung-yeon. Among his family members, his grandmother is South Korean actress and National Assembly member Kim Yeok-dong, and his great-great-grandfather is former legislator Kim Do-han. Song Min-guk's name was given by his grandmother Kim Yeok-dong, meaning “Republiс of Korea” ("Min-guk"). Before he was born, Kim Yeok-dong named the triplets as Daehan (Great Han), Min-guk (Republiс), and Manse (Long live). After his birth, according to family naming customs, he was named Song Min-guk, being the second-born.

He graduated from kindergarten in February 2019. Regarding his family, his older siblings are Song Da-han and Song Man-se. On March 19, 2012, Song Yi-kook first publicly shared a photo of Song Min-guk on tvN's entertainment show "Taxi Driver Live Talk." Starting July 6, 2014, he appeared as a regular guest on KBS 2TV's reality parent-child show "The Return of Superman," alongside Song Yi-kook, Song Da-han, and Song Man-se. During this period, he also participated in multiple magazine photo shoots, including pictorials for "Styler Housewife Life" and fashion spreads for "HIGH CUT," showcasing his multifaceted public image.

On December 27, 2014, Song Min-guk received the Popularity Award at the KBS Entertainment Awards. He attended the same awards ceremony again on December 28, 2015. On January 10 of the same year, he made a cameo appearance in the historical Korean drama "Jang Young-shil," playing a young beggar. Additionally, he has been active in social activities, such as on September 17, 2014, when he participated as a torchbearer for the Incheon Asian Games, passing the torch alongside his father. On November 25, 2014, his emoji pack was released on Kakao Talk, with all proceeds donated to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation to help vulnerable children improve their living conditions. The calendar he released in 2015 sold over 1 billion Korean won (approximately 5.78 million RMB), with all profits dedicated to social charity causes.

As a public figure, Song Min-guk is known for his expressive, innocent, and adorable image. He is praised for his rich emotional expression, often using facial expressions to show his love for food and enjoyment of life. Media reports highlight his excellent performances on entertainment shows and note that he also possesses some musical talent—even when very hungry, he remains interested in music. Consequently, he is regarded as a versatile young idol with talents across entertainment and social fields, gradually developing his career and public presence.
