Samuel Walter Washington

Samuel Walter Washington was an American physician who lived from 1799 to 1831. He was the son of Lucy Washington, who was the daughter of Mary Coles. Mary Coles was the mother of Dolley Madison, making Samuel Walter Washington a descendant of the Madison family. Dolley Madison was the wife of James Madison, the President of the United States from 1809 to 1817, and served as First Lady during that period. Lucy Washington was married to the nephew of George Washington, who lived from 1772 to 1846.
