Yang Shichun is the son of renowned industrialist Yang Tongyi and Rong Shuren, born into the prominent union of the Yang and Rong families of Wuxi.
In 1978, encouraged by his parents, Yang Shichun returned to China to visit relatives and facilitated the introduction of technology and equipment for the production of electronic watches in Shanghai. This project became one of the city’s earliest compensation trade initiatives, contributing to the modernization of China’s light industry.
Beyond his economic contributions, Yang Shichun also supported academic development at Jiaotong University and helped promote international exchange and technology transfer, leveraging his family’s extensive resources and connections.
