James McLaren Smith is the husband of Marion Wyld Bannerman, who is the daughter of Henry Bannerman. Henry Bannerman, born in 1771 and deceased in 1823, is the son of Henry Bannerman, who lived from 1798 to 1871. Henry Bannerman's daughter is Janet Bannerman, who died in 1873. Janet Bannerman is the mother of Henry Campbell-Bannerman, who served as British Prime Minister from 1905 to 1908.
