Introduction
Frederick Foster was born in 1777 and died in 1853. He was the son of Elizabeth Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire, who was the daughter of Frederick Hervey, the 4th Earl of Bristol. Elizabeth Cavendish was the second wife of William Cavendish, the 5th Duke of Devonshire. Lady Louisa Hervey, the daughter of Frederick Hervey, the 4th Earl of Bristol, was the wife of Robert Jenkinson, the 2nd Earl of Liverpool, who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1812 to 1827.
