Introduction

Princess Deqing was born on August 17, 1478, and died on July 18, 1549. She was a member of the Ming Dynasty court. She was the daughter of Emperor Xianzong and her mother was Consort Zhang Li. In the ninth year of Hongzhi (1496), she was bestowed the title of Deqing Chang Princess and married Lin Yue. She had four children, including her eldest son Lin Lu, second son Lin Liao, and two daughters. Her eldest daughter married Marquis Gu Huan from Zhenyuan; her second daughter died young. In his youth, he prepared for the imperial examination, demonstrating filial piety towards his mother and friendship towards his younger brother. The princess served her parents-in-law at home, living a life with proper etiquette similar to ordinary people. Lin Yue passed away in the 13th year of Zhengde (1518).
